MALDEN PUBLIC PARKS

PARK HOURS AND OFFICE HOURS
Public parks are open from sunrise to sunset, unless a permit has been issued to extend use. Some parks and park areas may have different schedules approved by the Stadium and Athletic Commission. Refer to the facility list to obtain park specific details.

Following state and federal guidelines for COVID-19, our office and all City of Malden offices are operating under alternate work arrangements to protect our staff and their families. As a result, there may be a delay in response time.


APPLICATION DUE DATES FOR SEASON PERMITS

PERMIT REQUEST VIA EMAIL
In order to promptly review your request, please send us an email with the information requested below. Emailed requests are allowed for single day permit use like birthdays or weddings. 

*If you are requesting recurring dates over the course of the season, please download the Parks Application (located at the bottom of this page) and submit all required documentation. (For example, youth programs, leagues, teams, etc.) Completed application can be sent to us via email as an attachment.

Name of Organization (If applicable)
Name of Responsible Permit holder (will need to be on site on the day of the event)
Address, City, State Zip
Phone Number of permit holder
Email address of permit holder
Desired park(s)
Date(s) & Start/End Time
Description of your event. ( For example: What is the park being used for? How many people do you expect at your event? Will you be grilling on site? Any bouncy houses or equipment we should know about?, etc.)

USE OF MACDONALD STADIUM
FOR REGULAR USERS OF THE STADIUM: As many teams regularly use the Stadium, it's strongly recommended that applications are completed and submitted by the following deadlines:
  1. Spring and summer sports: By January 1st   
  2. Fall sports: By July 1st
 
FOR OCCASIONAL USERS: To be timely considered by the Stadium Commission, which meets on the second Tuesday of each month, if needed, this Application must be completed and received by the Stadium Commission by no later than the 1st of the month in which use is requested. Festivals, concerts, and like events will not be permitted on the stadium turf field. Exceptions will be made for City department sanctioned events with approval through the Stadium Commission.

Rental base rate depends on the rate tier your organization is eligible for.

USE OF PINE BANKS PARK
ALL REQUESTS TO RESERVE FIELDS OR PICNIC AREAS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED ONLINE AT WWW.PINEBANKS.ORG

FIELDS
Before submitting a request for field use, please check the Field Schedule for potential availability, and please read the Pine Banks Park Field Use Policy. It contains all information pertaining to field use including priority, scheduling, fees, and required documentation.

PICNIC SITES
Picnic areas are available for reservation from May 1-Labor Day of each year. We will start taking reservation requests starting April 1 of each year. Before submitting a request, please reference the Picnic Reservation Calendar for availabilities.
